The Inter-Active Therapy website (“Website”) is administered and owned by me Stephen Davies (“I”, “me” and “my”).
The terms (“you” and “your”) refer to the patient, user or viewer of or visitor to this Website.

This privacy policy statement (“Privacy Policy”), effective from May 1, 2017, sets out how I use and protect any data that you give me when you use this Website.

I may change this Privacy Policy from time to time, so you should periodically check this page to ensure that you are aware of any changes.

I am committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected at all time. Should I ask you to provide data by which you can be identified when using this website, it will only be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Regardless of obligations stated in the terms of this Privacy Policy, other rules govern the way I use and keep information you provide to me during therapeutic sessions and during the whole relationship with you.

Indeed by practicing as therapist and psychologist I have the professional duty to maintain information you provide to me strictly confidential and take reasonable precautions in order to avoid any of the data of my client being disclosed to third parties without the patient’s consent.

Data I collect through the website

When using this website and the portal there are different types of information I collect from you.

a) Information you decide to provide me when using the portal
When using the patient portal you will be asked to fill in certain information about yourself including past life experiences, current personal issues, information you disclosed during the intake meeting. On sign up you will also be asked to insert your email and a unique password in order to register to the portal.
You will not be asked to provide your name and surname. Indeed as soon as you sign up, you will be given a serial number that identifies you as patient. (can they upload info, content?) I was not 100% sure, if not the yellow paragraph will be deleted.

b) Information I collect from you when you use the website
I collect information about your activity through our Website.
That information includes, among others:

i) device information, such as your web browser type and language.
ii) access times.
iii) pages viewed.
iv) IP address.
v) identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies that may uniquely identify your device or browser.
vi) pages you visited before or after navigating to our website.

c) Information I collect by using Cookies. A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be saved to your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic by tracking, saving and storing information about your interactions with and use of the website. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. A web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering data about your preferences. I may use traffic-logging cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps me analyse data about web page traffic and improve this website in order to tailor it to client needs. I would only use this data for statistical analysis purposes after which the data is removed from the system. Overall, cookies can help me provide you with a better website, by enabling me to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives me access to your computer or any information about you, other than whatever you choose to share with me. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer, though this may prevent you from taking full advantage of this website.

How I use your information

I use your information for the purpose of delivering professional therapy services and provide you with a tool that enables me to communicate easily with you and access useful materials.
The portal is indeed designed for me to easily communicate with my patients and for you to access useful materials I upload for therapeutic purposes.
I might also use the information I collect when you are using our website such as time spent on each page and clicked links to improve our website functionalities and the user experience.
I will not sell, distribute or lease your personal data to third parties unless I am required by law to do so. Moreover has determined by the ethical code set down by the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen the duty of privacy may be broke if there is considerable reason to expect that the client or individuals associated with the client may be in danger.

This website may contain links to other websites of interest such us the website of the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen or NIP. The NIP is the largest professional association for psychologists in the Netherlands.

Although I aim so far as practicable to include only good quality, safe and relevant external links, you should adopt a policy of caution before clicking any external links mentioned anywhere in this website, as I cannot guarantee or verify the content of any such linked website. Once you have used these links to leave my site, you should note that I do not have any control over that other website. I cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any data which you provide whilst visiting such sites, and such sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy policy applicable to the website in question.

I am committed to ensuring the security of your data. The Website is indeed hosted on a secure server with a secure database and utilizes an SSL certificate that guarantees encryption of the data transmitted.
